As a photographer and print maker I am constantly exploring bringing texture and movement to my photographs through camera manipulation and various alternative printing methods.
My work has progressed from shooting on a high ISO to achieve grain in my Zoniënwoud images, making the viewer question if the print is a photograph or a painting, to making the flat image display movement and texture by printing on a thin transparent film. The film and ink create a very tactile image and by varying the layers of varnish on the film I can create various effects and build up images.
I am currently studying art at the BKO Academy, Overijse, Belgium.
For sixteen years I worked as a Location Manager in the UK Film and TV industry.
Since 2011 I have been living in Tervuren, Belgium.
